SIS Male; Suffering in Silence

When I started showcasing my timepieces people would always ask if I painted on canvas as well. I wasn’t too sure of my talents on this medium because I developed a level of comfort on watches and clocks. I figured for my debut, I’d create something that spoke towards the mental conditions of hetero-male society in modern day.

This 30x30 piece is constructed of spray paint, acrylic paint, and oil pastels.

SIS Male; Suffering in Silence is a play on the gender roles in today’s society. Bringing to light how CIS-Gender men stay silent during their growth and coping with society’s new norms.
